Why PlaneFit exists
Information about buying and owning an aircraft is too often fragmented and unclear. Specifications live in brochures, honest operating costs live in forum threads, prices live in listings, and the trade-offs that actually decide a purchase are scattered everywhere and nowhere. With technology we try to help: one structured database, the same transparent assumptions applied to every model, and tools that make aircraft comparable on equal terms.
It is not all perfect, and we do not pretend it is. Every figure on PlaneFit is an indicative planning aid, and every buyer must do their own verification — the aircraft flight manual, maintenance records, a qualified pre-buy inspection. But at least there is now a clear starting point for the research that comes before those steps.
What we build
PlaneFit combines a proprietary aircraft database with transparent mission scoring, ownership-cost scenarios and practical range tools. It is designed as a research starting point: broad enough to discover alternatives and structured enough for humans and AI systems to understand why one aircraft fits better than another.
Independence and commercial links
PlaneFit is not an aircraft broker or seller. Links to third-party marketplaces help users continue their research; they do not turn an asking price into a verified valuation or a model-level estimate into advice about a specific airframe.
Corrections
Aircraft records are versioned and reviewed over time. A correction should identify the model, field, evidence and applicable configuration so it can be evaluated without merging incompatible variants.
