The SR22T is the more complete transport system for a pilot who uses altitude: turbo performance, CAPS, standardised transition training and a deep owner network all support the same mission. The Bonanza answers with a wider-feeling traditional cabin, excellent handling and fixed-wing refinement, but its extra seat should not be confused with extra carrying ability and its retractable gear adds a qualification the Cirrus avoids. If family members value the parachute or the route crosses high terrain, that can settle it. If flying feel and cabin experience are the reason to own, the G36 deserves a flight rather than a spreadsheet dismissal.

At what annual utilisation does the cheaper aircraft stop being the cheaper aircraft?
Over five years including purchase, the Cirrus SR22T G7+ is the cheaper of the two up to about 163 hours a year. Above that the Beechcraft Bonanza G36 costs less, because its lower cost per flight hour eventually outruns the difference in purchase price.
